【碓氷湖(うすいこ)】 （令和8年3月22日 更新）
碓氷湖は、碓氷川と中尾川の合流点を堰き止めて造られた人造湖で、碓氷峠のふもとにあります。湖の南東方向の城山には、かつて山城の坂本城がありました。
湖は、四季折々、美しい姿を見せます。碓氷峠の旧熊ノ平駅から見た景色は唱歌「紅葉（もみじ）」の歌詞になったといわれ、色づく山々が秋の湖面に映える景観は特に素晴らしいものとなります。
碓氷第三橋梁（通称めがね橋）をイメージした橋（「ほほえみ橋」と「夢のせ橋」）が湖に架かっており、湖畔にある約1.2キロメートルの散策道を約20分で一周することができます。湖には遊歩道のアプトの道からも立ち寄ることができます。

Lake Usui
Lake Usui is a man-made lake nestled at the foot of the Usui Pass. To the southeast of the lake lies Mt.Joyama, where the mountain castle, Sakamoto Castle once stood. The lake displays beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons. It is said that the view from the former Kumanodaira Station on the Usui Pass is the setting of the lyrics of the famous Japanese children's song Momiji (Autumn Leaves). The sight of the colorful mountains reflecting on the lake's surface in autumn is particularly magnificent. Bridges modeled after the Usui Third Bridge (commonly known as the Spectacles Bridge), Hohoemi Bridge(Smile Bridge) and Yumenose Bridge (Dream-carrying Bridge) span the lake, allowing visitors to walk the entire circumference of the lakeside promenade. The lake is also accessible from the Apto-no-Michi (Apt Road) walking trail.

Hồ Usui
Hồ Usui là một hồ nhân tạo nằm dưới chân đèo Usui. Trên đỉnh đồi Jōyama ở phía đông nam, trước đây từng có thành núi Sakamoto. Hồ Usui có vẻ đẹp thay đổi theo mùa. Phong cảnh được nhìn từ ga Kumanodaira cũ của đèo Usui là cảnh tượng được cho là nguồn cảm hứng cho bài hát dân ca nổi tiếng Momiji, cảnh sắc mùa thu của hồ, đặc biệt nổi bật khi những tán lá đỏ của các ngọn núi xung quanh phản chiếu trên mặt hồ. Hồ có hai cây cầu mang tên Hohoemi-bashi Yume-no-se-bashi, được lấy cảm hứng từ cây cầu Usui Daisan Kyōryō, còn gọi là "Cầu Mắt Kính" (Megane-bashi). 碓氷湖
碓冰湖是座人工湖，位於碓冰峠山麓。東南方的城山上，曾矗立著山城形式的坂本城。該湖四季更迭，景色宜人。從碓冰峠舊熊之平車站眺望的景致，據傳為經典歌曲〈紅葉〉歌詞的靈感來源，尤其當層林盡染的山巒倒映於秋日湖面時，景色絕美。湖面横跨著兩座仿照碓冰第三橋梁（通稱眼鏡橋）造型的橋樑——「微笑橋」與「夢之橋」，可沿湖畔步道環湖漫步。從阿普特步道中途亦可順道造訪。
